The moco rolls out about 600 of the regular models per day over two shifts. The Livewire is being produced in smaller numbers by fewer people on its own dedicated assembly line and being sent to a warehouse so they can send them out and populate the whole country at once. The moco already has charging stations in the motorcycle parking area at the plant.
I can't wait until someone comes on here bitching that the Harley Dealer can't charge their Live Wire cause they don't have a charging station and the don't work on anything over ten years old.
I would guess even if a dealer decides not to sell/service the Livewire, nothing is stopping them from installing a non Harley Davidson charging station. Charge a few bucks to use it, and maybe while the owner is waiting they might buy a t-shirt or something.
My dealer in Houston has a demo ride scheduled on November 16th, but they don't have any in stock. When I asked if there has been much interest, he said yes, but not from guys like us.
Harley will be at the Lone Star Rally in Galveston from October 31st - November 3rd. I wonder if they'll have them available for test rides.
Atlanta area only has three dealers who are going to have the bike, one of which is one I always avoid and it is the closest to me.
as I have said many times before, no electric motorcycle is worth consider if either the pack of engine is air cooled. unless both are liquid cooled it is obsolete day one.
