I bought a 2009 RKC new with stock suspension and in the twisties the bottoms of my boards got the **** beat out of them. I would've been part of the lay 'er down thread if it had been lowered. Every once in a while I like to ride it like I stole it
I lowered the rear 1 inch, cause I like how it looks. That was about 4 years ago. If I had to do it over, I probably wouldn’t bother. The older I get, the less I give a ****.
I think you over analyzed the stuffing out of this...lol! I am tall so I have lower apes. (Hate high ones) I also own a bike with lower style bars. It works for long arms and doesn't change the bike. I am just interested in where the poll ends up. No judgement on lowered bikes here, I was putting in my .02. But I wonder if it hurts resale abilities? Heavily "modded" bikes do not fast, or sell well, I am told. Once you mod, you need to find a similar buyer with similar tastes. Other buyers will look elsewhere. I bought the above bike used, and went to a great deal of refreshing it to my tastes. It really looked like 1990 again when I bought it
.
Well, it wouldn't be the first time that somebody has told me about the "over thinking/analyzing thing." So just pick a number and get in line, lol
