This is the info I get from Tractor supply company:
2000# GVWR
4:80 x 12 in wheels 6 ply rated
2000# axel
And I'll have the bearings checked out. Thanks
Those 6 plyare C rated at 990Lbs at 90 PSI,, so actually your trailer can haul legally/safely at 90 PSI on the tires 1,890lbs.Where most folks mess up on the actual load capabilities of a trailer is they don't subtract the actual weight of the trailer from the GVWR. which is the actual load amount that you can put on it, so say if the trailer actuallyweighed 500 lbs unloaded, then the actual load carrying capacity would be, 1,390 lbs max.
You probably didn't need to know all that, but it can be the difference in setting on the side of the road with abreak downor having a blow out and having or causinga wreck.
John TN, I had heard that somewhere before, good to be refreshed.
Sounds like the general consensus is to pack the wheel bearings, bearing buddies, get a spare.
Thanks to everybody. Ride safe.
I was a Wells Cargo dealer for a number of years. Alot of good advice above. Bearing Buddies are a good choice but be careful not to overgrease them and blow out the rear seals. We saw quite a bit of boat trailers with spindle damage due to over-pressurizing the Bearing Buddies and blown rear seals. You can't be too careful with a single axle trailer. A siezed spindlecan lead to catatrophic failure and dumping your load.
