After listening for a few months I concluded he was far more tolerant to that segment of his audience than I would have been.

My issue was not with poking fun at the OP’s content, but with his communication skills. What if he was writing the best he was capable? As someone else pointed out previously, we all learned how to write in grade school. Except maybe some of us didn’t (not me) including those who attended poor schools or were learning disabled. That was where it thought the line was crossed. My belief is reflected in an often quoted offering by J.M. Barrie: “Be kinder than necessary, everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle”.

I assume Bonedoc did not have poor intent based upon your defense of him and not having any reason to believe otherwise. It simply came across to me as a highly educated person ridiculing a person of lesser ability. I prefer at this time to believe that was incorrect on my part.

I look forward to future discussions.
I see that you're new around here. That's not meant as a criticism, just an observation that you probably don't know how things work around here.

If you stick around, you'll probably observe that most of the long time regulars here try hard to help people that have problems with their bikes. You'll also probably observe that occasionally people will come on the forum with long, confusing posts about problems that they are having. The kind of posts where you will re-read it two or three times trying to make heads or tails out of whatever it is they're posting. You may want to try to help them, but you may not even be able to figure out what question is being asked of you and the rest of the forum.

Then after quite a few years of trying to decipher posts like this, you may be working through another one with no success, when someone like Bone Doc will make a post like the one that he did, and you just barely can keep your morning coffee from coming out your nose.

I also assume the good doctor had no poor intent, he's usually quite helpful when he can be.

The OP is either (a) a very poor liar, or (b) the unluckiest person in the world. Either way, he should just kill himself for the betterment of society. [j/k, OP don't do that].

Meanwhile,
I
do
like
paragraphs
and
good
punctuation.

If you're going to post crap like that then at least make it legible for people to read. I learned how to write in sentences and paragraphs in grade school. It has nothing to do with how well educated you are. It is a basic communication skill.

Truth be known, I couldn't give a **** how he writes or whether he uses paragraphs. I was using his writing style to convey a meaningless message just like the one he started this thread with. If he actually read it then he got the same message we did by reading his post.

The OP while composing his tirade.

This is the prevailing motto of the snowflake generation. You haven't been a member here very long. You will learn that it takes a thick skin to survive in this forum. If you can't take a little ribbing, or mocking if you want to call it that, then trade your Harley in for a Vespa.

Here's a thought experiment for you. If the OP's communication or writing skills don't meet third grade benchmarks, does he know it? If so, what is he/she doing to improve them?

I used to be kinder and gentler.... then I was born. I do thank you for assigning me the quality of being highly educated. You know they call the guy at the bottom of my medical school class doctor also.

Then again he can be awfully damned direct and not suffer fools gladly.

First sentence of the OP says it's a 2012.

Ouch! Bone Doc, I think you just implied I’m a “snowflake”. I didn’t get under your thick skin did I?
