I decided I would let the phone autocorrect to the incorrect spelling for this usage in order to try to blend in here since people on this forum are notorious for typing stuff like prolly instead of probably for example.

I didn’t think someone would be so bored as to search this forum at 2304 on a Saturday night to scrutinized such things unless they were a fat innkeeper.

"Fat innkeeper."

Now that's funny.

Welcome back to the island!

Actually most of us like these threads to stay running. If we have a live one they'll check in now and again to either defend their words, or insult the membership. How is that any fun? Well the collective has some hilarious responses and once in awhile the threads become "epic". We had one in particular, something to the effect of "Need gift advice for my Dad". It was some young gal, posting cleavage shots, basically dragging a few white knights around by the, uh...….nose, with a story on what to buy her Dad relating to HD merchandise. To many of us it was very clearly a case of trolling the forum. The real question was whether or not it was a guy having one over on us by posting some random 'net pics, or was it really a girl just looking for attention. Either way it made for some great entertainment. Turns out it was a girl who was trying to round up customers for her webcam business or something like that. Her name is Sophie and she always signed off "xx". So if you see someone end their comments with an "xx"", well that's where that one is from. Then there's the "dump truck" thread...……

And if it sounds like we're a bunch of simpletons getting a laugh out of stupid stuff...…...well...…….that would be hard to argue. I blame Winter and lack of handlebar time. But as has been said, if you are sincere and really have an issue, this place shines. I've received all kinds of help here. I've met folks on group rides, organized trips, and made lifetime friends. One friend I've never met sent me a rail mounted laser/flashlight for my pistol just because I posted an inquiry as to what kind to buy. Just sends it to me out of the kindness of his heart because he had a spare. Another member here just mentioned a desire to take her daughter with Cerebral Palsy (I believe) to Disneyworld, but times were tough and it would be a struggle. She wasn't fishing for anything at all. Just talking like we do. But the forum stepped up, started a Go Fund me, and they went to DW. That's what this place can be and people like BoneDoc are woven into that fabric.

You seem like a good sort. Do stick around. You'll see some stuff you disagree with and some stuff you laugh your *** off and tell people about offline. I just take the good and ignore the bad. Or have some fun with it anyway.

xx

Seriously? I gave up reading after the 3rd line of his block of text. I'm sure it was a very interesting first post but it's too hard to read

2) No one on God's green earth would buy a brand new Harley and park it in their garage for 4 years (2012-2016) and never start it. That's an emotional impossibility.
There is always an exception. It's best to say who would buy a brand new.....
My Heritage was a 1997 and I bought it in 2017 with 463 miles on it!
The Ducati was a year old with 30 or 40 miles on it and was traded in for a car!!!
