on my stock dunlops the only thing i can find as far as a date code is two numbers printed in white ink. i was under the impression that the date code is supposed to be molded into the rubber, or am i mistaken once again? bike is a 20-4 and the numbers are 59 89. i find it hard to believe that harley put tires made in 1989 on a 2014 bike.
The tire date code is molded into the sidewall of the tire. Sometimes on both sides, sometimes only on one side. You'll see DOT followed by two series of four numbers and letters followed by the date code in an oval. The first two numbers in the oval represent the week and the last two represent the year.
In the example above, this tire was manufactured the 26th week of 2016.
