So want to pick up the new LRS. Talking to a guy on the phone tomorrow about it. Said he will give me a quote. Now do I tell them I am financing but I want to talk about the otd price? Also can I say I plan to finance but still looking at my options of either financing with hd or through my bank?
First time buying a new bike so want to make sure I can get the best prices.
Now my credit score is average nothing bad on it but I just don't have a enough usage. Did a bunch of things recently to help my score so should I hold off them running my credit. Can I just ask a quote for someone with an average credit score?
Side story I went to a dealership in Nh the other day. Gave me the price of the bike at 21300 which I thought was crazy. Said due to the manufacturer being closed they aren't making bikes and they are a hot commodity. Guy said he sold 20 bikes in one day the day prior. Couldn't believe it and not sure if I do

Negotiate the OTD. The finance office is a profit center and that's where they put the screws to you. I dont like financing a recreational vehicle but I'm in the minority here.Better to get pre approved from a credit union.Oh do buy GAP insurance if it's offered in your state when you finance. Do Not get ESP. Those policies usually run concurrent with the factory two year warranty. Wait till the two years is almost up Good Luck!

This. My understanding...and I may be wrong...is that financing the bike thru the dealer can get you a better deal as supposedly, the dealership receives incentives for selling the financing. I was told that a couple of years ago by the sales manager at my dealership when I was buying a bike, but things may have changed since then. I've never been one to finance a toy either, but in this case I did as it lowered the OTD. I waited the obligatory 6 months and then paid it off...it made sense financially to do so. You could finance it thru dealership for six months and then transfer the loan to a credit union with lower rates. Suggest you do some homework on that route. By the way, you will LOVE the LRS!!! Good luck with your decision.

Thanks, so lrs MSRP is 17999. What number should I have in my head when I talk to him tomorrow . What would be a good OTD price for that bike?
Don't know anything about all these extra fees they charge you. Got my last bike in cash bought it used from my buddy
If you paid $17,999. Expect the following additional charges:
$425 destination...sometimes this is negotiable
$0 dealer prep. Just tell them you won’t pay this...they get reimbursed for this from HD
$ 0 dealer add on accessories. If they put on things you don’t want, and charge labor to do it...tell them to take it off. If it’s something you really want and would have gotten, just don’t pay retail for the part or labor
$ 100 or so documentation fee
$ whatever your state charges fir registration
$ whatever your sales tax is..

That's what I was hoping for. Some guys are saying if you get anything under 20k that's a good deal. 1800 otd sounds pretty good to me though
