And had wooden floors and everybodies name was Buddy or Pal, there was a dog in the corner and some old timer who no one knew why he was there (or who he was.. lol)..
A reasonable chance that he didn't know or couldn't remember either.
The Certificate of Origin being framed was a/your dealer thing.
I didn't get a 'Certificate of Origin'. But a few weeks after purchase I received a box with a return address of the dealer at which I bought my scooter.
The box contained things for cleaning/waxing a scooter. There was also a plaque with my name on it and a picture of the bike, with a leg so it stands up to be seen, of my scooter parked crossways on the road between between the city where I bought the scooter, Kingman, Ariz., and my city, Las Vegas.
The picture contains info about my scooter, and words like "CUSTOM MADE FOR" my name. Kind of dumb but it does have a good picture of the desert between our cities.
And why do you need a certificate of authenticity? Is there a problem with counterfeit Harley's. I mean all the other brands copy Harley but it's pretty easy to tell.
I rec'd one for my 2017 FXDL-S, but it was a 1st...don't know why as it's got my name on it & bike's sold so no reason to let it go w/ new owner...just a memory now.
Otherwise, with my recently purchased 2020 Heritage, I got to pick a t-shirt (w/ dealer logo on back, of course (free advertising)), rec'd the 1-yr HOG mbrship & also gave me a HOG tin w/ patch, gremlin bell & pin. Oh, and...10% off parts on day of sale (big whoop).
When I bought my bike last year, I got a t-shirt, a plaque with my name on it and a picture of the bike (but probably not my bike), and a 1 year HOG membership.
They Gave You? Are you sure you didn't pay for it?

Cigarette lighters have been replaced with charging ports.
Interesting. So the cigarette lighter was de-contented too.
My battery tender cable acts as a charging port, which was included with my motorcycle. I'm guessing they don't include that anymore either?
