My battery tender cable acts as a charging port, which was included with my motorcycle. I'm guessing they don't include that anymore either?
actually my '12 didn't have a battery tender but my '19 had one stock.

thats been a few years. thinking about it, how many cars have you seen in the last few years with cigarette lighters? how about an ash tray? now, how many with 12v power ports?

It may resemble a cigarette lighter port, but the owner's manual warns against using it as such.

My old dealer called 'em "birth certificates", got one with each bike we bought from them in the late 90's early 2000's. It was Carltons in Mantua, OH; a small family owned dealership at a crossroads out in the country. They also gave you a 20% discount on parts and clothes for as long as you owned the bike. Damn do we miss that, and them. We since moved away.

It’s been quite a few years since I bought a new car that had a cigarette lighter or ash tray. It might have been 1992.

In summer of 2017 I bought a 2016 fatboy lo and a 2017 heritage on the same day. Harley Davidson of Scottsdale have us two years of hog membership, 4 t shirts and invites us to every VIP dinner they have. No tools but I have those. They took cool pictures of me and my wife with our bikes and frames them and gave to us. It is all a dealer thing. I'll be back!

Yeah true. I'd rather have the bikes be cheaper than get those things for "free".

Not only were they a "safety" item for the comfort and safety of the passenger, they were a source of tie-down points for bags put on the passenger seat when riding one-up. They were even standard on the old Electra Glide Standard. In fact, I think the "fork dam" deflector was on the older Glides too. I think the reasoning given by Harley for omitting them was that interfered with the wind flow to the jugs. That "dam" prevented the upward flow of wing coming up between the fairing and the tank that hit you in the face.

I don't know how others here feel, but I remember being able to ride an ULtra Glide and smoke a cigar. If you try that now on a stock Ultra, you'll get ashes blown into you. LOL! It just seems to me that there is more wind hitting me on my 2015 Ultra than I remember on the older ones.

And I still have the tool kit from my 2007 Ultra in my saddlebags now. So I know the Ultras used to come with a REAL tool kit, not a multi-allen wrench tool.
Electra Glide Standard had those grab rails, two up seat, saddlebag guards, engine guards, aux lamps and front fender trim on the bottom. And a legit tank decal/ pinstripe for the model year. I'll get a police Electra Glide with a 114 and strip all of the popo crap off before I buy a new Standard. The Electra Glide Standard and Classic need to both come back in the future with same equipment levels as 20 years ago.
