Does anyone have any Harley stock? I bought 4 shares for $100 back in 1990. It split a couple times so now I have a whopping 16 shares. I have been getting about $6.50 in dividends, but my last check was only .32 cents. WTF! Anyone else see the same thing??? That seems an awful big cut.
I'm not looking to get rich, I just wanted to have a stock certificate to hang on the wall.
Had some shares in the nineties was getting around 50 bucks in dividends back then. Sold all but one share, last dividend check was two cents. No blue chip needless to say..
I owned a lot of HOG stock for over a decade but I sold it all right after they announced the Livewire pricing, I think that was January 2019? It had been declining for some time by then, but when they revealed what they would be selling the Livewire for I lost all confidence in the MOCO turning their financials around anytime soon.
And yeah they cut their dividends, I'm honestly surprised the stock hasn't fallen lower than it is. I guess the board doing all those buybacks has helped bolster the share price some.
Dividend was increased from .375 to .38 in March, then cut to .02 end of May. Not surprising for most companies in light of what is going on in the economy.
I almost but some when it dropped to $15 a while back, but missed that chance. However, had I bought, I would not have held it long and would no longer have it by now (I am not normally a "trader"). I would not be a buyer now: (a) I believe there is a big chance the market will tank because of the COVID damage to the economy, (b) it will probably also tank if the Dems win in November, and (c) I think HOG has a lot of headwinds in its future (though I think it can survive), and I don't see it as a long-term "growth" proposition.
