Why would Harley re-engineer the 2006 Dyna for less oil capacity (2 Qts) and install O2 sensors that create a hotter running motor with a 3 stage heat managment system and drop the 3 stage system on the 2007 models ? Any clues ?

where are you seeing that the '06 dyna only holds 2 qts? the owners manual lists it as 3 quarts, and completly dry mine will use this much, but i usually run the oil level 1/2 way down the stick to help the oil misting in the AC. the 02 sensors are not what make the engines run hotter. it is the lean AFR that is set by the map installed into the ECU. wasn't aware there was a heat issue with the '06 dynas. first i heard of it. real issue is the '07 Ultras with lowers and the 96 c.i. engine. search the forum and you will find lots of discussion on this issue.

Never had a heat problem running in FL summer weather with +90% humidity.

?????????????????No probs with my 06 either.96 motors on the other hand have some serious heat issues.

My runs cool and spot on with even the 8 degree injectors!

Mine overheats but usually when it needs a oil change or sits outsode all day at work in 100 deg heat. I also put in 2.5-3 qts of Mobile1 VTwin and she's perfect.
