Here in Iowa, where Stopit and I live, it is only legal to share your lane with another motorcycle. Thus passing in your lane is legal. I don't encourage other riders to pass in my lane beyond taking the right lane position and being ready to see a bike whizz past. If there is a break in oncoming traffic in a passing zone, then I will wave somebody around that obviously wants to go faster than I do. Sometimes passing bikes get all the way across the center line and sometimes they don't.

I won't crowd your space , don't crowd mine , If I come up on you & want around -- I'm around and gone !!! if not I'll hang comfortably back , Some one comes up on me (individual or groop) I gladly give reasonable passage around , Just don't be that dinglebarie that passes and hangs there , I'll blow your doors in close enough you can smell my fart & shave cream at the same time

Seven pages on passing a fellow motorcyclist, and I thought we had a problem with all this covid-19 stuff, friends out of work and 200,000 deaths.

Don’t be the overtaking bike roaring by someone in their lane, without the slower rider knowing you are going to do it. ******** do it on the freeways, and scares the crap outta ya, and is dangerous.
