Default HD battery core charge

I'm wondering if anyone has ever paid a core charge for a battery they purchased at a HD dealer? Not Batteries Plus, your local auto parts store, Costco/Sam's Club, Interstate but specifically A Harley battery at a Harley dealer. I've worked at several car dealership's parts department for the last 25 years and we always charged a core. The price varies depending on the current market for the materials. I currently work at a Harley dealer and have bought batteries from different ones over the years and can't remember ever paying a core charge. What's your experience been? If you have paid a core charge, how much was it? I've made this poll multiple choice if you paid for some at different prices

I don't recall paying a core charge on batteries from a HD dealer.

Core charge might be rolled into selling price?

You should only pay a core charge if you don't turn in your old battery.

I suppose that's possible. HD charges the dealer, let's say $8.00 core per battery. When the dealer sets their purchase price, the core is part of that cost. If the customer buys a battery with no core charge and doesn't return it to the dealer for recycling it appears that nobody is out any money. If the customer does return the battery, the dealer doesn't refund a core to the customer but the dealer gets $8.00 credit when they return it to HD.

Pretty sure the dealer charges a $10 core charge. Walmart charges $13 core for auto/truck batteries.

A little off topic but I ordered 4 BF Goodrich Radial T/A's for my 69 El Camino online and I got hit with a $7 environmental fee.

I have never paid a core charge at the dealer, even when not turning in my old battery. If I happened to have the old one with me, they have disposed of it for free.

Core charges ( amount ) vary from state to state ... Core charges are refunded after the return of the item provided it meets the terms of an acceptable core ... Core charges are taxed ... Upon receipt of a qualified core the core charge will be refunded minus the tax ... Yep the government has got a plan for everything

Nope.
Last time I took 1 car, 3 motorcycle, and 1 lawn tractor battery that were in the corner of the garage to the scrap guy.
I got a whopping $4.
