I ship my bike to Arizona every year and I use a commercial trucking company. I need to put the bike on a “new bike skid” and they deliver to Superstition Harley. Superstition is an amazing dealer and treat me very well. Of course I treat them well also lol. AndI have even short term stored my bike when I went home at Easter and then flew back in May to ride home. My stay in Az is 3 or more months so renting a bike doesn’t work. All in, I probably pay around $750usd for a round trip on the truck. The last time I shipped the bike in 2019 my son dropped the bike off at the trucking company dock on a Thursday night and Monday morning at 7:30 the truck was backed into Superstitions dock with my bike on the tail.

Is this standard operating procedure or can anyone recommend a shipper that I can speak to to get some answers?

Any help is appreciated.

Try Federal Motorcycle Transport. Seems to have a good reputation.
Good luck

B332, there is a wealth of posts on this matter in the past. And not too distant past I might add. Feel free to use the "Search" feature.

It has been recently improved and works really well.

..........enjoy, stay safe mate.

You are not going to get the dates you want. They need to work with drivers and schedules in the area. The quote I got from Haul Bikes states this right in the quote..
  • Pickup is estimated to occur within 11 days of booking your order not including the date booked.
  • Delivery is estimated to occur up to 21 from booking your order.
There is no way they could ever operate trying to work around everyone's schedule.
HAUL BIKES....Horrible company. You will not get your bike anywhere close to the date being told. When you contact them, it will be a stream of excuses.

Based on his experience alone I would never ship a bike.

Damn - that sucks. I just read the entire thread. Sounds like in the end it’s working out but the process was complete misery.

Thanks everyone. I used uShip and the guy who gave me the best quote lived 11 miles from my house. He hauled out my 2 bikes and 2 of his. He rode with us for a couple days and left. He was parked at the truck stop waiting for us 3 weeks later. Loaded the bikes and took off for Ohio. He texted us as we were getting off the plane and said he would meet the next day.

Give uShip a try. Worked for us
