Compliments.....
I was talking to my boss today and out of the blue asked me - is that your Harley at the end of the lot - to which I responded "Yes." He said "Wow - I got out of the car today and I had some time so I walked over to look at it - it is really a beautiful bike." I sadi "Thank you." and went about my business.
Anyone else ever get compliments like that? No flaming - but what I mean is this person has seen this bike out there and he was the last person I thought would comment on it.
Some background: I take 2 lane roads through corn fields to get to work - not a lot of people interaction - but great riding.....

No compliment but my General Manager did comment yesterday when I got to work... "Oh, the Hells Angels are here..." When I repliedno, the "Sons of God" he said "well, I knew it was one or the other..." [sm=confused06.gif]

At that time, I would have asked him why there wasn't special motorcycle parking up front. Then he wouldn't have had to walk all the way out to the end to see it.

When I was going through the gate at the Marine Corps Base Quantico yesterday, I had to stop to show the Marine my ID card. While I was getting my wallet out he commented, "nice bike". I told him it's great for long rides. As I was puttingthe bikein gear to continue on my way, a thought came through my mind, "here is about the time I do something stupid and dump the bike".

My boss has told me several times its a nice bike.
What I findmore amusing however, is the reaction I get when people in this area realize thatits a woman ridingthat Harley. Its really kind of funny.
