it was the first thing I thought of when the OP posted....if he has one of those helmets that allows a stream of air to enter near the chin and travel up and past the face, the air stream could be agitating nose hairs, trimmed or untrimmed, this could make the nose feel itchy
I've always worn full face helmets. My nose itches occasionally, never gave any thought to why it was happening, I just open the face shield, scratch my nose, close the face shield and don't question why it happened.
Not sure what causes it, but on longer rides I will also get an itchy nose. I don't wear a helmet, so it has to have something to do with the wind and or sun. I have not taken an extended trip with my new Street Glide, so I'm not sure if I will get the same thing. Interested to see. No it's not long nostril hair either... LOL I rip those bad boys out with tweezers religiously.
I have the same thing happen to me. I notice it's usually right after I close the visor on my FF. When I ride with the visor open, it doesn't happen. When it happens I just flip up the visor, scratch the itchy nose, close visor, ride on. For some reason it doesn't happen every time I close the visor, in fact it doesn't happen too often. I always wondered what combination of conditions causes it.
Damn nose hairs! The older I get, the more of them I get, and the more frequently I have to trim them.
