Just ordered a 2021 road glide. Dealer is ordering directly from HD. Not a dealer swap. Does anyone have any idea what the lead time is for a bike directly from the factory? Dealer was vague and didn’t really give me any time frame.
I would think with the current lack of supply 8 - 12 weeks. Interesting the dealers didn’t offer an estimated time, my guess is they don’t know either. Did you order a special color or features like RDRS? If not seems like the dealer would dealer trade so you could get your new bike.
I'm sorry, but the lead time is vague. I don't think anyone here can give you any better answer than your dealer. We don't have any inside information.

Road glide standard. Base radio. No RDRS. The dealer did a search and there aren’t any within a reasonable distance. I am ok with waiting. Just hoping it’s weeks and not months. I didn’t think anyone had any “ inside information “. Just looking for any recent experience. That’s all.

Hate to say but if it were me I would be planning months, not weeks (well at least 8-12 weeks)
I’ll call my dealer tomorrow, I know them well and see what their thoughts are. My guess is the base radio is the issue with finding one elsewhere.
When I was looking for a new bike in January this is exactly what I ran into. Wanted a plain street glide, no GTS or RDRS. Granted I was looking for a special color and a 2020 but there were none to be found within a reasonable distance..
Took 3 months but my dealer found the color I wanted but had to get the GTS radio. Actually like it, leaps and bounds better than the old GT.
Hopefully your wait will be shorter since its a 2021 model.
The only benefit of the Canadian climate and the short riding season is a buffer to order a bike. I have ordered 2 Harleys in late Feb for an April delivery. It works for me, the bike usually shows up in 6 weeks but its still too early to ride. Keep in mind I'm only ordering a Vivid Black plain Jane model. But that's my choice. I like plain black and chrome.

I would advise you go back and talk to your dealer. I just spoke with a dealer I’ve known for years and I trust. There are two ways to get a bike that a customer orders.
The dealer sees a bike they have coming in and move it to a sold unit. The bike should arrive in about 3 weeks.
The other is place the order and wait…. I was told the issue for you will be the standard radio. They are not available and there is an indefinite lead time. The other opportunity is non RDRS, this could also be an issue. So if you are stuck wanting the standard radio who knows…
Again my thought is to revisit the selling dealer and push them for answers, after all it’s your money and you deserve to know.
Good luck
