Hello I have a 2009 fat bob I am replacing the stator on it seems when down too the magnet it doesn’t want to come off I can wiggle it by hand and move it out a little bit, but then just seems like you hit a wall any advice it’s my first time doing it so pointers would be helpful thanks in advance
Are you talking about removing the rotor or stator?
The rotor should have two holes that allow use of a puller if you are unable to pull it off by hand (they can be a challenge). The stator has four fasteners and should pull off fairly easily, but you will need to push the electrical connector into the primary to get it out. It is recommended that the four fasteners are not reused.

on my evo it was impossible to pull off with bare hands, so I used metal clothes hanger wire and bent hooks on the ends to fit in the holes on the side of the rotor. It worked.
You need the "Armstrong" tool. Lol...time to call your buddy that has forearms like Popeye. It'll come off...its just tough to get a good grip. Make sure your fingers are not behind it when you re-install it
Just had to do this... you need to shave off the inner primary or it will not come off. Get a
Dremmel tool l. It will take some time, don't take too much off. Good luck. Otherwise, you will need to pull the inner primary. Do a search, you will find the procedure.
As Angel stated; do a search as there's lots of YouTube videos showing this being done.
As for my personal experience; I do like to wrench on my own vehicles and have little doubt I could not get this done but there is some work that is simply best left to others.
This is why I decided to pay $300 labor and let somebody who has the shop, has the tools, and has the knowledge to do this.
I dropped my bike off at 9:00am and picked it up that afternoon.

I had this same problem when the stator went on the Fatboy a few years ago. I took some photos and documented the process in the thread below.
