Trying to blackout my 2016 FXDF already ordered the jet black exhaust shields and getting blackout headlights. Looking for any advice from people who have already done this. Thanks.
Definitely the rear fender struts for sure.
Mirrors, bars, turn signals housing, levers, headlight can all be upgraded with new black parts fairly cheap.
Not sure but your chrome exhaust shields look nearly identical in shape to the 2018-2020 Fat Bob and Harley online has them in black. Ebay too.
Bolt covers from Ciro3D will go a long way to help as well.
I also replaced all my frame bolts with black bolts from Ace Hardware. Flat black on flat black parts and black chrome on bolts that attached to gloss black parts. Looks great to me

Love the, hopefully, soon to be blacked out option
I am currently in the process of having mine done, just waiting for the colder weather to set in before putting the bike (2008 Fat Boy) in the shop to have the chrome stripped and powder coated. Im going with a local German shop (Semper Fi Customs) and cant wait to see the results.
