@rigidthumper that was one of the best analogies Ive seen in a long time comparing HP & torque. The people that say, hp is how fast you hit the wall , and torque is how far you go through it makes no f-n sense.
Ive used the example of cranking a bucket out of a well. Fill the bucket with rocks, and the power it takes to turn the crank to get the bucket moving up is torque. Then HP is how fast you can turn the crank. So comparing that to a big fat touring Harley, and having to rev to 5,000 RPM for the torque to cut in isnt the ticket.
Putting a 150 hp engine in a Harley touring bike requires a new frame and suspension front and rear. I don't think Harley would put the revolution motor in a double cradle steel frame with the current fork and stocks we see today on the FL platform. I would think those pieces would require more modern engineering in order to handle the power. Never could figure a 131 crate motor in a stock Harley FL frame, swing arm and suspension as we see it today. I envision a chassis like the current GL1800 wing or BMW bagger GTL., Underneath the Harley fairings and bags. Kinda like a resto mod car, looks like the original on the out side but underneath it's all modern hi performance.
