Guess I was onto something with this. I still see V-Rods for sale for 12-16K at the dealership. I recently priced a similar year Rocker C and it's almost 20% less. Funny when you go through old threads and witness how dumb we sounded then and looking back at all the riding done along the way. I still love being on two wheels, and at the end of the day, that's what this game is all about.
I rented a V-ROD in Vegas about 10 years ago. Rode around Nevada and Arizona. Great riding, great bike. If I didn't have a Fatboy at the time, I would have bought one straight away. Now my old @$$ feels more comfortable on a RK...
V-Rods don't really bring big bucks around here and there isn't much demand for them. Two years ago when I was searching for another bike I seen a lot of them with low miles in the 5-7 thousand range, prices have crept up on everything since then though but I still see them pretty cheap.
Just noticed today on my dealer's website they have a 2007, 20K miles, asking $10K. Being a Porsche fan in my other life, I have always thought it would be nice to have one, though I love my Heritage. Too bad I'm not a rich old bastard with a 20-car garage to fill with toys (2 and 4 wheeled).
