Well, today was a perfect weather for a vest. 65-70 degrees. So, I went out wearing this thing. First, the fit is perfect. I couldnt ask for a better fit. It doesnt bunch up, fold or anything. Its perfect.
Now, after the ride, I am asking myself what took me so damn long to consider this. I wore it over the tshirt, and it felt great! I was surprised how warm I was. Wife and I went to get something to eat and I wore a flannel with long sleeves and I was colder than with tshirt and a vest. It takes away a lot of the flapping and wind. I now actually will ride with it whenever the weather permits. Hell, I might even do the sweatshirt and vest thing.
I am really liking it and I am glad I got it. Next year I am going to have a custom one made, now that I know the sizing and fit.
Thank you for all your suggestions. Lots of good places to look at in the future.
I did. A good riding vest that looks good too. I am not one that would wear a leather vest outside of riding.
The Lowside looks like it fits the bill. 1.4mm leather, runs 1/2 size smaller than normal vest (puts me in between the sizes which I need) and is shorter to prevent the bunching up.Looking forward to getting my SOA patches and a tattoo...
So are you getting a full set of SOA patches, like the large reaper center-back, top and bottom rockers etc?
