Wouldn't she be "racist " if she rolls her eyes?

My question would be had you removed the fuel line recently?

Sometimes the obvious isn't quite so obvious ... At least you've now got the trailer you've always wanted :>)

Minor stuff. You didn’t wreck it and you didn’t have to fix something expensive. Now you have a new trailer and know you have a great wife. It all sounds like a win to me!

+1 here.

I had a front tube failure going across South Dakota last year on my Heritage and the nearest motorcycle shop was ~60 miles away.
Fortunately we were only about a mile from a rest area so we nursed it on the shoulder to there.

Geico gave me 2 options; wait for their designated tow service and they would pay for it or have it towed by the repair shop’s recommendation and get reimbursed.
The Geico designated tow was 2 hours out and the repair shop an hour so I went with the repair shop’s recommendation.

From the time I contacted Geico to the time I was back on my way was about 3.5 hours which 45 minutes was with Geico (they found the repair shop), 15 minutes initially with the repair shop (they handled setting up the tow), 2 hours waiting for and getting towed and about 30 minutes getting a new tube put in.

Got my ~$450 reimbursement check for the tow about 4 weeks later.
Needless to say I’m a big fan of Geico’s Roadside Assistance program.

Also if you’re ever in central South Dakota and need work I recommend Petersen’s Motors in Pierre SD.
They used to be a Harley Dealer until Harley pulled their Dealership.

This is good to know...thank you. During the COVID shutdowns, I did a complete audit on our insurance and switched from Progressive for the bikes and Nationwide for the cars to GEICO for all. Huge savings. Glad to hear they back it up.

Sounds like something a lot of us would do. I made for sure that my insurance covers towing no matter how far. But I have a $50 deductible on that. Glad you got your new trailer out of this 😊

That's what I was wondering. Or had it been serviced where a tech did?

I've unhooked many a quick disconnect and removed tanks on Harley's, and it doesn't just fall off. I've never heard of one just coming loose.
