I had a similar thing happen. 6 of us rode to Amarillo from Waco. About halfway back we stopped for gas. My bike would not start. I would pour gas into intake and it would catch and run until that gas was gone. It is a 2007 Ultra with EFI. One fellow pulled the connector that goes to the throttle body and reconnected it. BOOM. That bitch fired right up. Talk about relief. I guess it was corroded and not making good contact. Once I got home. I sprayed it down good with electric contact spray. No problems since. Peace out.
I was quite happy with AAA until recently.
Needing a tow for my TP was a real challenge.
Even after going to the tow co. a day prior and owner speaking of his Condor chock, etc.
The tow guy that shows, and then his spvsr. hadn't a clue.
Mission aborted, my bike would have fallen right off the truck.
Then recently on a road tow call for my old auto,
Waiting 2 1/2 hrs tow driver shows with a big rig with one car already on it, mine goes on a fork hanging off the back,
AAA had no alternate co.s close by.
I got friendly with the driver, talking for a while.
He tells me many co.s don't want to work w AAA anymore, and he is only going to get about $30.00 from AAA for the job.
This was at the peak of diesel price run up.
The guy I used for the bike was an indy w a van and chock, Very competent and experienced.
I only wish I could count on someone like that on a AAA bike call.
