All engines have their own unique sound. I love the sound of a big single cylinder thumper, a Triumph parallel twin, Japanese inline four with a Kerker header.
But you'll never get a m8 to sound like an older Harley. Older bikes were carbureted and used a wasted spark ignition, shovels have hemi shaped pistons and each bike had it's own unique sound.
With today's fuel injection and computer controlled ignitions you'll never get the raw sound of the previous generations.

Sounds pretty good considering it's from the riders hearing range. I would like to hear one as it would sound frome standing and listening to it take off at moderate speeds. Thanks for the vid.
I think for bikes and cars if you want the loopy sound you need a cam. Pipes make it louder, Stage kits, more power for sure. At 60 with hearing loss I'm going the other way. I want a bit of sound but not at freeway speeds where I'm battling engine and wind noise.
