So couple of months ago I posted that this dealership was a wreck in slow motion after being sold, numerous employees had quit and others were threatening to quit. I have been their customer since they opened 20+ years ago and know most of their long term employees.
I stopped in today to inquire about a part that was ordered few weeks ago and was happy to see they seem to be getting a handle on things. Several new employees but all eager to help at the parts counter and in the service dept. best of all my service tech of 20 years seems to have settled down and wasnt quitting!
Glad it worked out for you. Only dealer I'd have anything to do with here sold out a year after I bought and never recovered.
yeah, I was worried. Time before I went in, the place was upside down. Lady at the service counter didnt know how to use the computers, bikes waiting for repairs all over the place, etc. This time, everyone seemed more relaxed and still took 3 people to track down the part but they kept at it and finally got it done.
I visited Skyline the end of March 2023 - soon after they changed hands. We were headed to North Carolina and specifically took that route so we could stop by the dealership. The reason - the new owners are here in Michigan, and they purchased ABC Harley about three years ago.
In those three years, I have found that the owners are very warm and not only do things at the dealership but in the community. At times, the bike nights are so full that there is little parking. They started a riding academy, and it seems that classes are completely full each week. On Saturdays, my wife is usually there serving hotdogs or sandwiches - whatever they have.
Mid July, our HOG chapter is taking a ride to visit the new store. We hope to meet our sister HOG members. Changes take time - but I believe that the plan is to make sure this is a premium dealership. By the way, it is actually a beautiful store.
