As some of you old timers on this forum my recall, over the years, I have given away many items to other forum members.
I just received a PM from someone regarding a thread I started asking for advice on how to secure an item on my bike.
Another member offered a suggestion which more likely than not is no longer available and I said I plan on trying to find the item he suggested.
The sender of the PM said he has one he no longer uses and offered to send it to me in exchange for my agreeing to pay it forward.
I accepted his offer and will honor his request for sure.
Just wanted to share that.
I mentioned this in another thread but I really did find a bank envelope full of hundreds today and turned it into the casher at the gas station. Whoever lost that much cash is going to come looking when they figure it out and I trust that the cashiers will give it to them. If nobody claims it they just got a really nice holiday bonus for working today. I go to that gas station all the time.
A couple of years ago, I found a big fat wallet outside my Post Office.
Didn't even look in it, ran it right in to a clerk, who I was friendly with.
Next time in there the clerk gave me an envelope from the wallet's owner.
Inside was a sincere thank you letter, and a twenty.
Being nice is rewarding, and pays dividends in some form or another.
