This was recovered from a river find whilst magnet fishing. Would anyone be able to assist in identifying a potential model likely to have been fitted with this rev counter
Can't help , but cool find , amazing what magnet fishing will bring up .
Too bad you didn't get the rest of the bike , Lol .
you say that Im hoping the best part of it is still there, its heavily silted and this came away when my son tried to shift it, looking to try further attempts this week.
Think I see AMF on the face so that narrows it down to 1969-81.
it does indeed, I know little about HD but found the AMF co ownership at that time through a quick internet search. The location of the find is close to a military base in the UK which was occupied by the USAF between 1960s to 1990s Im hoping this was a military issue motorcycle and can wait to recover the rest of it.

I had never heard of Magnet River Fishing - That sounds like a kick. I have always loved going to empty lake bottoms and searching for cool stuff, might have to give that a try in our lakes.
Cool find!
Do you find quite a bit of fishing gear like fishing reels?
