I mentioned before on deceleration around 40-35 or so I had a steering wobble and just wanted to let all know what was wrong with mine..
front tire was cupped because of lack of pressure..it was 32 lbs so make sure its up to 36, (Heritage)
front rim had to be trued, I dont remember hitting anything that hard but possible the spokes were a little loose.
Now its all better, rides great, thanks for all your help and info guys
hmmm I have a similar wobble with no cupped tire. My tire is at 36 and my spokes are good.
Dependent on what the doc does in the morning I might head over to the dealer...gonna be dang hot though.
I just spent $1200 and 4 tires to figure the damn thing out......
I had a wobble in the front end at 35 MPH. It was either in third or fourth gear - kind of coasting......It started happening when I putMetzeler tires on (880's) - the INDy told me that all bikes wobble - I said nope - didn't happen before......He put back on my old tires and said "See still there....." I had a belt seperate in the Metzeler tire which then caused a leak and blowout at 70 mph. (Rear wheel) The tire had only 200 miles on it.
Put on a new set of Dunlops and the wobble is so slight you really have to pay attention to notice it.
I don't know if the softails get a resonant point at 35 mph or if it is engine or tires......dunno.....

Quite possible because mine has been there fora while....I check my air pressure and spokes all the time thinking I must be missing something. I don't consider it a massive hazzard because it has been happening so long...not tank slapping our anything but it is rather annoying.
Gonna ride over to the dealer with no appointment today[&:] See if they will take a quick ride/look...won't cost me anything. I need a ride on the bike anyway...been way to long and the closer I get to the dealer the better the riding weather will be....way too hot in this valley.

A friendwashaving a lot of trouble with his new Metzelers. Long story short, the guy who installed his tires eventuallyadmittedover inflating the tire to 80psi by accident, which they think broke a belt.I hear broken belts on new tires happen more then one would think.
