Just what I need some putz telling me how to act. I bought a harley because I wanted one not for some status symbol. Maybe you should go on a rice board and tell them how to act seeing 99% of all harley riders I met have been damn nice people and alot of the crotch rocket riders stick there nose up at us. Next time I pay 23000 for a bike I will be sure to make sure I change the way I act just because I represent Harley. Man this is just stupid. Oh and by the way I do wave at all bikers. Get a life.
Well this is a good one!I bought My last ride from an X-con that I'd trust with My life and He's one of the best people I've ever met.He made a mistake and learned his lesson and I'd do anything I could to help him out.I am a average Joe and believe it or not I have ridden in Sneakers (I hope Harley doesn't find out) and yes I have lots of leather but not to act like a Bad Boy.I like to think of it as warm and protective clothing.I ride for Me and Me alone and could care less what Harley or anyone thinks for that matter but I'll be there if you need me and that's a guarantee no matter who you are or what you've done in you life.Don't buy into the Hollywood bullshit about all Harley riders are scumbags and outlaws.I have been around all types of riders and have learned not to judge them by what they wear or what they ride no matter their back ground or their Job title is.I still remember the slogan,You meet some of the nicest people on a Honda and let me tell ya,I've met some the nicest people I've ever met on Harley's.I'd rather be around a real person on a Honda than a poser on a Harley any day.To make a long story even longer,be cool to Me and you'll get the same in return no matter who you are or what you've done.
I currently own both a 2000 R6 and a new 2006 Harley Deluxe and I wave to ALL bikers. As mentioned earlier, it doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you ride. Being courteous is a personal thing, not a bike thing. Happy Holidays everyone!!

I'm an adult. Most people on this forum are adults. I don't owe Harley Davidson anything, I don't owe Harley Davidson riders anything but not running over them, I don't owe society anything but civility in my mind, and I don't owe anyone an image that they may want me to have. I also don't owe money to anyone. In spite of all this, I have plenty of friends. Get real.

Just thought I would throw this out there, about the Image of harleys and riders, we need to portray the other side of harley riders also, we are not all excons and scumbags. Alot of us are Doctors and Lawyers and businessmen. Yes ,we like to dress up like bad boys with straight pipes and tear around town and go to the rallys . I just wanted to say that we need to remember we are ambassadors for harley and lets try to be a little more professional to the general public and other riders no matter if it is a rice grinder, I always wave to other riders no matter what they ride, I too rode others in my youth not all can sell the family farm to afford a harley or be in debt up to their eyeballs. Be the ambassador harley wants you to be. just a thought..
