Transport Mode or Pull Fuse

Transport Mode or Pull Fuse
I am certain this has been talked about before - just need some outside help.
We are relocating from Michigan to North Carolina. My trike is being loaded onto a moving van.
While hopeful, the trip and delivery will not be a long time (maybe 3 days) but, I sort of worry that since I am not with the trike while it is on the way, should I try to put the bike in transport mode or simply pull the main fuse once it is loaded?
Basically, are there advantages or disadvantages to one or the other.

Pull the fuse.
If someone puts the / a fuse back in they will need to know the pin. If the bike is switched on from transport mode the same thing will happen without the fob.
If someone wants to steal your trike it won't matter what you do.
I see transport mode really being for you with the trike on a boat or the dealer taking it in for service where disturbance would set off the siren. I have been on a ferry and a train with my bike and with flat calm conditions the security system wasn't triggered.
If you don't have a siren then all that happens is the indicators flash.

I dunno, you are transporting a bike that has.....transport mode. It is simple to use, and requires a couple of buttons to activate. Why go through the process of taking off bags and side covers to remove a fuse when you could just use the feature harley put in the bike for you. Along with possibly misplacing said fuse, and then having that nonsense to deal with. But hey, it's your bike.

Both of you have some great points - sounds like either or both will work.
Just don't want to kill my new battery by having it drain for those days. Then again...I am moving to warmer weather and cna ride more. If that battery dies, then, I will just take it back under warrenty.
I paid to have it installed -so, will likely have to eat the new install charge. But then again, I will be riding more.

Granted, I don't presently have a HD newer than a 1999, but I did own two '06 models and a '09 Ultra Classic. Will your battery really die if you don't start the bike for a week? My Ultra could sit for a few weeks at a time and not drain the battery. Is the parasitic draw that high on these new bikes?

I have done both ways successfully on several bikes. My preference is to pull the main 50amp fuse. To each their own. Both ways work well.

I've towed my Harleys cross country several times on vacations in transport mode. Don't understand the logic of pulling the main fuse. Only time I ever do that is when changing the battery.

If they are out of your possession maybe pull fuse. No reason why anyone would turn bike on, but not impossible. Granted you have to pull bag to put back in.
One complaint is having to pull bags to get side cover off.

I'm not certain, but Transport Mode just disables the security and subsequent lights flashing that will kill a battery quick.
I don't think it's designed to stop the bike from drawing current from the battery naturally like it does just sitting in your garage too long.
If it's just going to be a few days, yeah Transport mode is all you need. If it's going to be weeks, maybe pull the fuse.
Note: if you have a Security Siren, and want to pull the fuse, turn your ignition On before pull the fuse or else you'll get to hear your Siren real good and up and close for awhile.
