Low is correct,,, it's a hot wire that's grounding out 12 volt +,,, either from handlebar switch to the starter motor or around the starter itself. If you have a volt meter you can test the wires for continuity to ground and find it that way if it's not an obvious indication such as a burnt, rubbed throughor pinched wire. Good luck with it,,, electrical is some of the hardest to diagnose. As Low said any work been done on the bike lately?
i havent had any work done on it , sometimes when i change the fuse im able to ride for a week or two untill it happens again, so u guys dont think its the starter
I would not think it is the starter. ask yourself a few questions. what, when, where and you will find the why. If it happens when you are starting the bike ie thumb on the start switch then it is something in that circuit. as said before test it with a multimeter for a short to ground. if it isnot in that onethe try each circuit one at a time and try to isolate it. if it happens going down the road try and remember exactly what you were doing at the time it popped.
good luck in finding it. one lat thing is does it happen after you wash the bike? if so you may have water shorting it out.
