How does my riding fast ever put anyone other than myself at risk?
Are you kidding? Please ride far away from me.
I'm being serious. The only time I've seen bikes take out other bikes is on the track where that's a definate danger. But on the street, I've never heard of a speeding biker taking out aninnocentbike. Maybe I've lead a sheltered life, I don't know.

Ive been ridin bikes FAST since before there was sport bikes, that is part of the FREEDOM of ridin. Ride fast ride slow I dont really care how anyone else rides, just dont try messin with my ride.
When you put others at risk your freedom ends.

How does riding fast put others at risk? Kinda silly comment in my opinion. Think about it!

"Nora Cardona and her husband, Boris, took a rare half-day ride on their beloved Harley-Davidson to look at custom-built choppers on display at Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach Saturday."
She was killed by a speeding sport bike rider, left husband and two children behind.

"A picture is worth a thousand words. The Honda rider was traveling at such a "very high speed", his reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. Swedish Police estimate a speed of ~250 KM/h (155mph) before the bike hit the slow moving car side-on at an intersection. At that speed, they predicted that the rider's reaction time (once the vehicle came into view) wasn't sufficient enough for him to even apply the brakes. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over fromhe force of impact and landed 10 feet from where the collision took place. All three involved (two in car and rider) were killed instantly."

Biker runs light and rams cop car in Qns.
Body of motorcyclist lies covered by white sheet near his wrecked Suzuki speed bike and helmet as police inspect the scene at Queens Blvd. and 71st Road, in Woodside, early yesterday.
A motorcyclist on a bike built for speed died early yesterday after he zoomed through a red light and crashed into a police car, cops said.
The rider was speeding west on Queens Blvd. when he blew a light at the corner of 71st Road in Woodside and hit the cruiser's rear passenger door at 1:30 a.m., police said.
The 31-year-old motorcyclist, who was on a powerful Japanese Suzuki speed bike, died on the spot, cops said.
Witnesses told cops that the man sped through a red light - with one saying he appeared to be going as fast as 100 mph.
I myself am guilty of bending the speed limit from time to time.Who is'nt? But 100 mph in a residential area [sm=badidea.gif].
We may refuse to grow UP.....there is only one alternative to growing old.
I speed also. Two weekends ago I hit 95nph, but it was on a long empty 3 mile streatch of road with no one else around.
When I am around cars however I mostly do the speed limit.
The difference is place and time, which it sounds like you understand.
No Kolni what is BS is when someone like you makes a statement such as the one you made in your previous post and then turn right around and proclaim that you speed also. But its ok when you do it because you know when the right time and place is and everyone else is an idiot. Kinda like the pot calling the kettle black.

In the past several months I can think of two cases off the top of my head where a rider going faster than they should have took out a rider by crossing the double yellow and the result was a fatality. (Palomar Mountain and Montezuma in Borrego)
Maybe it's because I spend 90% of my riding on two lane twisties in the mountains, but riders going too fast need to stay away from me because they do impact my safety.
If you've never seen a bike coming at you in your lane, then you are lucky with your sheltered life

You must be young and very ignorant. I hope you find out before you kill yourself or someone else.
No, I did not contradict myself. I said there is a place and a time for speeding. Speeding when others are around puts them at risks.
If your speeding on aroad (state, city, county,or anything that resembles a paved road)chances are that there will be someone around you. You'll be the last person to tell me where my freedom begins or ends.
