Default Grape Pie......
Sunday, my wife & I went for a ride. We had heard of this grape festival in Naples, NY where they have all kinds of grape related products, including grape pie. There is some beautiful riding out that way.
Anyway we ended up riding 274 miles round trip just to get a piece of grape pie. [sm=smiley20.gif]

I know most all riders do similar things. Let's hear your story of "frivolous reasons to ride". [sm=biker.gif]

edit: Oh yea....the grape pie was fantastic!

Not nearly as far as you went, but we have ridden a few times to a small town NW of Wichita for some pie... about a 100 mile round trip.

Drove from Boston to New York for the hell of it last summer to smoke a buttnear the Statue of Liberty. Then drove home..It was almost 500 miles round trip.

I ride 450 miles round trip a couple of times a month to smoke a cigar and have a couple of cold ones with a good friend in Jacksonville FL.

The past couple of years the wife and I will just get on the bikes and head to The Mississippi river. No reason except just to ride. We cross the river..donate to the casino and then head back. Its 300 miles round trip.

I don't think I'd ride 274 miles for a piece of grape pie. Now, if it were coconut cream pie, that'd be a different story.

I rode over 300 mile once to get a lotto ticket. BTW, the store is only 4 miles from home.
