It is a street bike that can go down a gravle / dirt road - until the belt picks up a rock and breaks or the exhaust gets ripped off of it. If it spends it's whole life on the street, then it's a fine "pretend" dual sport ride.
I'd rather buy XR650L, DR600, KLR 650 or GS1200 and have a bike that can really go offroad as well as gobble up street miles. (Had many dualsporters over the years and having decent dirt capability was an important factor to me).
I get to ride many different bikesduring the summer and the Ulyssess is one of the most fun I've been on. Rather it than one of the similar BMW's....would be a good bike for solo sport touring, too.
I test rode one awhile back, pretty fun bike, but very tall and quite wide turning radious. I think it'd make a nice all-rounder but I wouldn't go too far off road with it. I wouldn't mind having one.
