I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think all of the replacements floorboard pads have rubber "nipples" (for lack of a better word) that you pull through the holes...hence the need for a pair of needle-nosed pliers. But be careful when you're pulling them through...cuz they can and do tear (don't ask me how I know), and then it's a real b!tch trying to get them through the holes if that rubber tip tears off. I think the instructions also say to coat the rubber nipples/tips with dish soap to help get them through the holes. Hope this helps.

I am trying to get the "nipples" OUT, not in!

Anyway, I know what to do now and appreciate the help as the service manual had nothing on it. I was gonna slice the nipples off. (ouch, that sounded sadistic)

A coupleofpushes on each one with the tip of your needle nose pliers and they will pop right out.
