Default streamliner footboards

so after installing these expensive streamerliner foot boards on the bike the rubber pads can pull off easy. they came to my attention after a long ride and one side was about to fall out. anyone else find problems with them? i think i've got it solved by using expoxy and also the allen screw now passes into a hole i made into the pad.

Yep, struggled with them s.o.b.'s for hours finally got 'em by heating the rubber pads in the oven and using a couple of C clamps to squeeze the rubber pads into the boards . I love 'em but wow install was A PIA!

If you use a little liquid soap on the rubber pads before installing they will fit into the boards perfectly with no problems.

+1 Soap and a spring loaded glue clamp works like a charm.

Dish soap and a pair of plyers to pull them thru. Done in about 5 minutes total.

Intersting you bring this up. I just finished this job for my passenger boards and they kept falling out. The instructions do a poor job of "instructing" on how to install these. I kept looking at the bottoms and asked my "how the hell are these going to stay on".......it was then that I realized that two outside pegs in the pan are actually "L" shaped hooks where the board rubber has to fit into. They stay on now with no problems.

Tried dish soap first to no avail ,rubber ***** were just to big to fit into pans and they don't go all the way thru on the streamliner passenger boards so you can't grab them with pliers like the other type boards
