the MoCo endorses noise?
I'm looking thru a car mag and see an ad for HD...a guy is standing next to a nightster, holding the throttle, looking back at the pipes and seeing all the dust being kicked up by the exhaust ( actually reving it!!!)
the text reads

now I thought harley was trying to tone things down?..Guess Not

Bought a new Harley from a dealer in '04. The sales guy could hardly believe I was taking it home with the factory pipes. As I was leaving the parking lot on the bike I heard a guy say while pointing at me "Is that bike running".
I couldn't make much noise until I put VH shorts shots on. Now I wear a hearing aid.

I have straight pipes, soI like noise. But, even a stock harley is louder than a goldwing. I rented a lot of Harley's before I got mine. I went on a trip with my father in law, he has a goldwing.One morning we were getting ready to leave,I was just sitting there looking at him. He looked at me and said, "You ready?" "Yep, just waiting for you to start your bike", I replied. "It is started". I laughed my @ss off. LOL "Oh... let's go." hehehe

i'm sorry i think some of you are going overboad. when i bought my superglide. the guy next door said he could still hear me coming even with stock pipes. yes i agree there not as loud as afetr market or the s.e. 2 that i have on there now but it still could be heard .lets face it a v-twin is hard to kill the sound very much.and if big brother gets his way we all going to be rideing a little quieter.i hope it dont happen.
