So I pull up the my local coffee shop/food place to do some work on the computer. I get of my Hog, walkin' towards the door when this little New Yorker, who can't stop ajusting his hair, says "Wanna Race?" ...
Inquireing minds need to know....did he ride that bike from New York to New Mexico?
No, not really. He did **** me off. I don't regret having a Harley for one second.... Just shoulda lived 70 years ago when the were the fastest things on two wheels...

I am pretty sure 70 years ago Indians were the faster bike.

Santa Fe Baking Co. If you're ever in the area you should check it out. All you can drink coffee, good Adovada, Green Chile , locally owned and operated.
Well, that changes everything.
I LOVE coffee but hate Starbucks.
You still need to let it go however, and next time tell the guy to leave you alone.
OK now that's just un-American. How can anyone hate Starbucks? There's nothing better after a ride than a half-caf skim milk peppermint latte with Madagascar cinnamon and a blueberry scone.
That's why you need two bikes, I have my Bandit to shred corners on and my Dyna to ride the rest of the time.
One thing you could do is tell him you'll race, sit there at the stop light or whatever and rev it up good, start off then stop and watch him go blazing off like a dipshit while you turn around and motor off the other direction.....it's kinda' fun.....
Reminds of a time whengot my new 79XSEleven a buddy and me used to race guys for cash, a few years later this kid pulls up to me at a lighton one of the first turbo bikes and says 'want to race' we go down the road aways I show him where the 1/4 mile is my bud hits his lights for us to go and the kid stands that thing straight up in the air falls off the back the damn thing almost takes me out flips a few time and comes to a rest in the middle of the road I stop to help him my buddy picks up the bike and says hey look at this 85 miles on the odometer the kid had the bike for 3 hours.

I don't know about you, but buying a Harley for speed seems like a total waste of money to me. I traded my VRod for a new Twin Cam to relax while riding, not race. And by the way, New Mexico is nice place. Rode there a few times.
