Not much hope in that race, amigo. Ignore his *** and tell the old-school story of why Green motorcycles are such bad luck charms..
Well the way the graybeard told me (technically this only applies to Harley-Davidson's but what the hell), green motorcycles are bad luck because of the high rate of casualties during WWII. American's really struggled on HD's during combat missions/courier duty while serving in North Africa. The Germans had some shaft driven bikes that were far superior suited to the Desert conditions..
But Kaw boy won't know WTF you are talking about and maybe it will worry his little NY mind enough to cause him to tinkle in his little green suit....
man i ride with alot of rockets... we have a guy with a low 9 second GSXR... (he is a professional rider as well) and every time someone spouts off about all noise and no go... I challenge them to a race.... fromchicago to key west! (just likethe otherguy said) they usually goaway... if they do not... we always have kevin on the GSXR or my other buddy with a tuned out M109 that will eat them alive... mostly just kids wanting to be hard... then agian... i guess iam still just a kid!
I just tell them to f' off, if I wanted to race I would of bought a race bike, and if they continue running at the mouth I offer to pin their mouth shut for them.
An 05 ZX-10 is only about a 9 sec 1/4, at 153 mph, with a proffesional dirver... I bet this guy couldn't run it in under 11... (but that's just whishful thinking, but most of the rocket guys around here can't drive for $hit). if I were putting a good 130 hp to the rear wheele ya think I'd have a chance?
Give it up dude. Even if he's in the 11 second range...you aren't going to get near that on a stock or lightlymod' HD. If you put 130 hp to the rear wheel on a HD I want to see the dyno run. And no, even then you still don't have a chance with a bike that probably weighs a couple hundred pounds more than a ZX-10.
I've said this thread was a venting joke a few times here. Still it's amazing how many of you feel the need to be a$$holes about it. Whatever gets you off
The rest of you, thanks for your responses.

Quit being such a trout...
My bud has a Dyna he's put way, way, too much $$$ into that dynos at about 130. 0-150 feels like nothin'.

here's what you do....I worked for me and made me laugh for the rest of the day. Tell him you'll race him for the hell of it but YOU want to be on his left side. Make up some bullshirt excuse. Bout the time he starts winding it up....reach over, turn his key off, pull it out and drop it on the ground. As you ride away, tell him: "SUCKS TO BE YOU"
