The only way he won't eat you alive at any distance is if he stalls it getting off the line.
A 2005 ZX-10R makes MORE than 150 hp at the rear wheel. He is mistaken, it's more like 162. I recall the 2007s make about 168.
10Rs are he** on wheels when you roll up through 8000 rpms toward redline. I had an '04 at one time. It was just stupid fast.
So I pull up the my local coffee shop/food place to do some work on the computer. I get of my Hog, walkin' towards the door when this little New Yorker, who can't stop ajusting his hair, says "Wanna Race?", well I know he's just being friendly, so I inquire about what he rides... e&.
Turns out he's waiting for his "friend" (when the old lady showed up, I think it turned out to be his mom) to pick him up to go pick up his 2005 ZX-10 Ninja. He's telling me about how it puts out 150 hp, yaddaa yadda yaddaa.[:@]
I sit down to do my work.... he's still talking to me [:'(] Won't stop! Showing me his new Neon Green Leathers that match his bike! I was about to crack!
WTF!
I know I'll see him again, small town and all. In his little green elf suit! What I wouldn't give to have a Harley that could toast his little ZX-10... people rag on me all the time on this sight for wanting a fast Harley! This is why!...
(think I should race him? I figure if the distance is short enough I can take him, you know, the first 50 feet or so [])
You should have punched him in the mouth and said "Sure, race you to the hospital". JK.
I would say race him, just for the fun of it,enjoy the ride, laugh, who gives a crap which bike is faster, doesnt matter, every bike is different, it is a preference, a choice, a style. If you wanted a race bike you would have gotten one. I think those crotch bikes are amazing, I was talking to a guy tonight that races those things...he has taken curves at 170 mph! Dam!Alot of planes wont go that fast! Itdoesn't make mewant one though, they are ugly and uncomfortable. Several friends have them, thats what they want....and they like the look. I think what matters is the rider; is he cool? or is he an arrogant insulting jackass....If so, even if he rode a Harley he would still be an *** wipe. The bike does not make the rider cool, and if the rider is cool, he is cool no matter what he rides.
I think what'seven cooler than a fast bike, is that being in Santa Fe, you can get roasted green chiles from Hatch!(best in the world)Most readers here will never know that pleasure! Ride hard, have fun, drink tequila, enjoy life, eat chile rellenos. And put a cam in that bike....get the heads done, make it fast as hell.... just cause it feels good.
I usually just tell these guys that if speed is what they think is best, go get a blow job from a tornado or something along those lines... oh yeah then kick his azz.
