Less oxygen up there, bikes run different despite EFI.
I've never seen a black & silver anniversary deuce in EFI, only the black ones and a couple blue ones. Is yours really EFI? Just curious.

I'd be willing to bet that if you didn't click on the thread, then you could relax and STFU to boot

I'd be willing to bet if all the people who apparently don't know how to shop for a bike that suits their needs or wants would disappear we wouldn't have to listen to all the daily whining new threads about how disappointed they are with their purchase. Buy a different bike. How much simpler could it be? There are tons of other makes available nowadays, and I myself might even buy a V-Max or some other high powered Jap Trap cruiser one day too, but you ain't gonna hear me bitching about being so ****ing stupid I bought a $15,000 or higher TOY (because that's what most on this board bought them for - don't lie) that I didn't have the common sense to make sure suited my wants and needs first. Gimme a break. How stupid are you with your money? It's pretty much that simple, like it or not.

How much longer will this nonsense go on? Next whiner? Batter up!

Ummm how about sea level VS 1-2 miles up in the air? In fact...bring that California jetting up here and see how fast you go

I was pretty disappointed with my stage 1 mods when I headed up some mountain passes at 11K ft and the bike would barely do over 65 mph.
Umm, you do know how to down shift don't you?

I mean, I can hit 65mph in second gear for Lord's sake!

That seems a little extreme. I haven't had any power issues with the 96cigoing overthose same roads. AlthoughI'll admit that an 88 barely feels like it will go over 65 period...imo.

I mentioned earlier- this was at about 11,000 feet and probably over a 10% grade. Less oxygen up there, bikes run different despite EFI. Somewhere around Steamboat springs Colorado. That's wonderful you can hit 65 mph in second gear. Do you know how to up shift?

It sure is. I ordered it that way so I wouldn't have to worry about changing jets as I travel around the country and go up and down in altitude. In retrospect, I don't think it is as big of a deal as I thought it would be- I was sort of gun shy about carbs after tinkering with old 4x4's and dune buggys and I didn't want anymore hassles. Since then, I've never heard about anyone changing jets because of altitude, so I guess it's not much of a problem anyway.

Well, that's what happened. It was definitely sucking wind. It had just been serviced, and it was running fine otherwise.

Another thread where people buy a Harley and then are shocked by what they bought, then blame Harley Davidson for not making the bike they really wanted. Am I the only one that thinks that's friggin wierd?
King, I suspect he's a youngster.
Marsh
Yea Marsh, I suspect you're right. By the way, you're bike looks better every time I see it. It's really a beauty.
Thanks King
