25 degrees this morning when I left the house! You bet I wear them. I could not ride in this weather without them. Same for my windshield.

I wear em because I read a study somewhere on average skid distances for different materials in a fall.

Denim had something like 8' before wearing through.
Buffalo leather had 180'

That sold me. Now I just need to remember to not skid on my A$$

Oh, and now I don't have to prepare to stop after riding on the freeway for 30min at 40* by straightening my leg way early.

You mean you're supposed to wear pants under chaps? Huh, I see those bartenders at the rallies, no pants. Makes me tip better.

Bought a pair for Christmas (Something else Santa forgot) but haven't used them yet. Been riding with the temps in the mid 30's so the sweatpants under the jeans work for me.
Got rain tuesday and wednesday, then by friday its back into the 50's.
No need for chaps then

Always, regardless of the temperature, when on the highway. Short trips to the hardware store I don't. ......... BC

they're great for areas with a lot of rock/sand on the roads, too. And easier to clean bug parts off of than denim.

That said, I've had a pair in the closet unworn siince 1993.[sm=smiley4.gif]

Yeah it just doesn't work for me - I would feel like short member of the Village People! It's just toooooo bold a fashion statement for me!
