This I don't understand at all. Whenever I make long trips within this state, I am reminded of the overwhelming vastness of the unpopulatedopen space outside of the major cities and I generally remember why I think the concept of "overpopulation" is a myth. Seriously, unless you are in the LA area, or within San Francisco, you're never really more than 30 minutes fromvast expanses of sparsely populatedcountry - coastal, mountain, desert, farmland, you name it.

He must have slept through the first four hours of the drive, because after you get out of Marin/Santa Rosa on the 101, it gets a little on the sparse side as far as population goes until you get to Oragon

Now I have to put on the leather chaps and boots. Then the leather jacket and gloves and lastly put on the full-faced helmet. A five minute ride in the dark on my Honda in the rain, just for a six pack.
Of course, I may just wear shorts, a tee and flip flops and a doo-rag.

We got more cattle here. We got penty of agriculture. We grow morerice than just about anybody.
We got plenty of open space for ridin. We got enough natural products in Texas to be self sufficient.
Oh yea ! We even got gas refineries.
And the cost of livin ain't as high as Calif.
And can you say year round ridin.
We've had great riding weather for 2 weeks now. Its gonna be 70* this weekend.
Cali has it's strange laws and people, but once you get out of town on your bike, you forget all about them. As for the gas pump thing, GOT A BETTER SOLUTION? Anybody can bitch, but it takes INTELLEGENCE to build a better 'mouse trap I'm retireing in 8 years, moving from San Diego to Big Bear (I'll have to shovel snow from the driveway to ride during the winter but Im still riding in the snow when it's 70 degrees out).
