ALL aftermarket pipes are illegal.....period.
Without the EPA/DOT emboss (which is on all OEM exhaust pipes)you are in Federal violation.
Don't have to be a lwayer to understand that, which is exactly why most police now look for that instead of doing the flawed sound test.
NO EPA/DOT emboss.........you lose. No guessing no test...fool proof.
The EPA/DOT emboss says this exhaust meets all Federal emission and sound standards.
But good luck anyway.

Good luck on the fight. I wouldn't mind the crack down on loud pipes so muchif they'd start pulling over the rolling steros on wheels. Those things areworse with some of the filthy lyrics screaming from them.

When I had stright pipes I kept the baffles I knocked out in my bag on the bike. They had just fallen out, and I had spent some time trying to find them by the side of the road, and I was always on my way to the engineering shop to get them welded back in...
