I have a genuine Harley leather vest, jean jacket, and many many many shirts/sweatshirts.But the leather coats are just so damn expensive. How much have you guys spent on a "GENUINE" Harley leather jacket? I see them on Ebay, but I would have to try it on before I spend that much cash.
I have four Harley jackets. Well actually one of them is the OL's. As soon as I figure out how to explain the justification to my bride, I want to get a Langlitz. Donations will be gratefully accepted.
I have one that is made in USA (from imported leather) that was originally $400 but I got it at a dealer clearance tent sale for $200. I had $125 in gift cards from a poker run so..........it cost me $75 out of pocket.
The only "real leather" Harley gear I have is my windshield bag that's old, made in the USA and has the Harley logo stamped on it. Otherwise, I have the Switchback jacket and the HD black rain gear with reflective silver & orange accents. The shield bag was acquired on ebay for about half the HD price. The Switchback & rain gear was purchased at the dealer for about the same price as the equivalent sold elsewhere.
I've been watching eBay lately for an FXRG jacket and one recently sold for $299.00 - owned by a non-smoker. I'll probably end up with a new one from Fox Creek if I go that route. Lifetime warranty & guaranteed fit.
I found a nice one for under 2 bills on the clearance section. I stumbled in the dealership while they were taking inventory, and they roped off the clothes section and told me I couldn't buy anything, but I could look. I found this nice jacket, and it fit me perfectly, but they told me I couldn't buy it as it would mess up the inventory somehow, but they told me that they are having a sidewalk sale that weekend, and they'd put it on the side for me and let me get another another 20% off for having to wait. I'd never spend $400-$600 on a jacket, no matter how nice it was.
