Default it might be time

as much as I dont want to admitt it it might be time I retire the shovel head and buy a newer bike
I have looked at a few over the last couple years but just cant seem to get away from my old Iron but ever since we moved to California it has sen more down time than it has ridding time
and it seems like every time I take it out somewhere it comes back on a trailer
just Yeasterday on the Red and White Poker run first before getting there I lost my coil cover (I had it off the day before and did not tighten it all the way)
then only half the way through the ride my jacket came loose and the cover was inside the jacket and it hit the metal valve stem and snapped it off going 85mph on Hwy 80 causing my rear tire to go flat , also my new clutch is slipping again and it is time for a new rear tire again

so here are my choices I have found

lowered Street Glide

2009 Indian Cheif

2000 Indian Cheif

lowered Road Glide

Dyna glide

springer classic (blacked out old school look)

did the electra glide already and kicked it to the curb to keep the shovel (could proably go to Texas and get it back) it was just to big of a bike as it sat to tall proablly could of lowered it but it was just huge

altho I like the look of the springer it is low on my list as I am looking for something of a bit more comfort as my ol is dissabled and cant ride more than 20 miles as it is (unlike me with a more dependable bike I would ride all day)

I'd get the Springer for the long rides and keep the Shovel for hopping around town, best of both worlds.

Why would you buy the first year model of the Indian? Personally, I would give them a couple years before even considering buying from them. Look at the trouble Harley creates everytime they tweak something. It will be worse with a completely new bike and company.

If you didn't like the EG you won't like the street glide.

Springers are awesome looking bikes...
