I'm with Curt and Chambeaux on this one. You took advantage of someone so you could sell it for a profit and your on here bragging about it.

After admittingthat you know how to make theBohemian drink thing, I think your man card should be evoked.

On a seperate note.. the sugar drink is an absinthe, if I'm correct (and I'm sure I am.. I've got a bottle of La Fee in front of me, as well as a half bottle of Lucid and a bottle of Absinthe Eduoard.) I don't agree with the man-card thing.. at between 130 and 160 proof, the sugar and water is pretty necessary to make absinthe drinkable. Mixing sugar and water is the parisian method, setting the dosed sugar cube aflame is the bohemian. The buzz is different from an alcohol buzz, so if you get a chance to try it, dive in. And hold your nose.
Sorry for the noobiethread hijack, guys..
The bike probably hadn't run in quite a while.
The guy had it sitting in his yard for sale.
Anything is worth whatever someone is willing to pay. Apparently no one had been willing to pay $5k.
He was probably glad to get anything at all out of it and would probably have taken the same offer without the fancy drink.
panhead100ci just negotiated from a position of strength....with cash in hand.
heres the story... a few weeks ago a friend at work told me he saw a bike out by the road with a "FOR SALE " sign on it.. he stopped and wrote the phone number down... i called the dude on thurs and he told me to call him sat and i could come check the bike out.. so.. sat i called him to get directions there.. lol the dude says " let me give you my cell phone number so you can call me when you get to Picayune " lol lol -- i said lewis IM TALKING TO YOU ON YOUR CELL PHONE NOW " lol lol he paused and said well .. call me when you get here... uh huh lewis... i told my wife.. pick out a good bottle of cheap rum ( im a collector of alcohols from around the world. i have items you CANT buy in the USA ) she selected a small 375 ml bottle of Pyrat Caribbean Rum... well .. we got there and out comes lewis. 14 dogs 9 cats and 3 snotty nosed dirty kids and a drunk friend.. lewis said $5000.. ok start it up--- he said.. it needs a starter.. ok kick it-- this went over REAL good.. ooooie could you smell the booze.. he kicked and kicked and kicked... i wasnt gonna tell him about that white wire that "wasnt" connected... soo we talked and they drank the rum.. like it was some fantastic rum from a far away land.. lol lol.. anyway it wasnt long before i had him accepting $2500 and he delivered it to me..lol i gave them a treat of watching me fix them a Le Fee Bohemian all the bells and whistles.. the glass with the sugar spoon.. the fountian of ice cold water drizzlling over the sugar cube into the glass and them watching in awe as it changes color..lol nasty stuff tastes like nyquill...
