Yesterday a group of us ran for the boarder. The HOG group out of Wenatchee sets up a ride from there to Orville, about 130 miles. There was about 350 riders strung out over 3 to 4 miles. The state patrol blocks all the lights so we can stay in a group. It was awesome! A small group of us came back through Republic, down the river and crossed at Keller Ferry then home. Total around 400 miles. Lots of fun and met some fun folks. We will do it again next year.
As I have never ridden in a group this large, I was taken by the flow. We average about 58 miles an hour. Sometimes we were at 70 then this weird slow bubble would move through the line. Iâd really like to se a computer model of how that happens. The road captains kept the pace. Mid 80s the whole ride. Orchards, hills, valleys, flat land, desert, forests and everything in between. Just great day.
Nice looking ride. I was wondering what the temperature was before you stated. In the first picture the rider on the left looks like his face is covered and the one on the right is in short sleeves.
