We live in the United States of America and have the freedom of speech. That Freedom of Speech does not mean freedom from repercussions. But jeez, ask a question and the thread gets locked before anything gets said I think that is pretty much bullpucky. That is censorship and this is the type of stuff the soviets used to do, except they would show up at your door step and either shoot you or drag you off to Syberian Re-Training camps.
Maybe HDF will start such a camp and they can round up all the near-do-wells and send them there.
Exactly what thread are you talking about and why are you discussing it in the open forum instead of pm'ing me or a mod. If you aren't happy here then we can discuss why. This is a privately owned forum. We will "Censor" threads that we feel are just planted here to stir the pot. If that is a problem I'm sure you know a place where things like that don't happen.
There is no reason for people who already know what's going on to keep bringing this up. The rules of HDF have not changed since I've been a member here. If members aren't happy here then they are welcome to go to another forum. We are not begging anyone to stay here. We welcome all members as long as they play by the posted rules. This is our house. It's not a public forum, it's a private forum. You pay nothing to be a member here. Don't come here just to stir **** and you won't have to worry about threads getting pulled. It's very simple. I'm surprised more people have not figured it out yet.
For what it's worth, to me signing on to an internet forumis much like turning on your television set.
If you don't like the station you are watching it's very easy to 'turn the channel', or better yet, 'turn it off' and go riding, work on your bike, or whatever...
Seems pretty simple to me, but then again, I never took much interest in internet 'drama'...
It's a private forum.
You should have no expectation of "rights" or "freedoms".
By the same token if a board is truly too heavily moderated, it will die of it's own accord.
Somewhat self-policing, wouldn't you say?

This is getting kinda old. You are correct this is the United States of America, and in the good old USA you have rules to follow. You don't follow the rules you get punished. I don't see this forum as any different. Just like in the USA when you don't like the rules their is a process to go by to get things changed. Just like this forum. I have seen many of the mod post to invite folks to discuss their issues privately. Just like I would tell someone who doesn't like the USA. If you don't like it leave.
